Join us this March Break for a fun filled activity camp March 18th-21st, 2019! 9:00am-4:00pm at Glooscap Elementary School; we will have a wide range of activities including sports, active games, crafts, science experiments, outdoor play time, and skating! Advance registration cost is $15/day/child, $45/day/family max, must be paid by March 14th to receive discount price. Drop-in/payment made after March 14th: $20/day/child.
The Annapolis Valley Table Tennis Club (AVTTC) is open to every one of all ages. Meet at NKEC (Northeast Kings Education Centre) on Sundays from 1:00pm-3:00pm. These are great opportunities to practice your skills and make new friends! Contact email@example.com for more information
Every Sunday at NKEC join Gordon Porter from 1-3pm for a drop in archery program. It is $3.00 per person for the afternoon. Children (who are old enough to understand and respect all safety rules) and adults are invited.

ACTIVE LIVING EXERCISE PROGRAM
We will be hosting another exercise class at the Canning Multicomplex Civic Centre this fall! Classes are Tuesdays 9:00-10:00am and Thursdays 2:30-3:30pm. The actual cost of the program is $80/person but because of Canning Recreation subsidy, we are suggesting $40/person for the full 10 weeks or $3 drop-in/class. We will be starting our 10 week spring session on January 14th.
We are partnering with the Kings County Family Resource Centre to offer Tumblebugs in Canning! Suitable for children ages 3-6, this program teaches basic movement and developmentally appropriate gymnastics skills that are also fun to learn! The cost is $25 for 6 weeks. Offered at Glooscap Gym Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30am, January 11th- February 15th Contact Canning Recreation to register as spaces are limited.
SNOW SHOE LOAN
Thanks to support from the Municipality of the County of Kings, we now have snow shoes available for loan at our office for the winter months. Advanced booking recommended as snow shoes are limited.
CANNING RECREATION PICKLEBALL CLUB
Our pickleball club at Glooscap is back on Monday nights from 7:00pm-9:00pm and Sunday nights from 6:30-9pm at Glooscap Elementary.
Glooscap Arena is offering Free Skates twice weekly. Sundays from 12:40-1:35pm and Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30am. There are helmets and skates available to borrow!
WFM2GO FOOD DELIVERY PROGRAM

There will be FUNDamentals/Open Gym from 10:30-11:30am on Saturday mornings from January 11th-February 15th at Glooscap Gym following Tumblebugs. This time is free and for children ages 4-14 accompanied by a guardian.
Join us at NKEC every Thursday from 7-9pm for Open Gym. There will be access to the Gymnasium and Fitness Centre! All welcome. Note that if the school is closed during the day Open Gym will be cancelled.
Canning Recreation is partnering with Melanson Taekwon-Do to offer an all female self-defense program at Glooscap Elementary! It is available for all females above the age of 12. This is a 6 week program starting January 22nd and ending February 26th on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9pm. The cost for the program is $30. You must register by January 17th. Childcare available upon request.
